• Attending high school in New England

• Junior or Senior in high school

• ESSAY (up to 500 words) addressed to Dr. Edward Leitão Memorial Scholarship Fund Committee, describing your language and cultural connections to the Portuguese-American community, your hopes and dreams, and how you envision making a difference in the community

•  2 letters of recommendation (from  teachers or academic advisors) addressed to Dr. Edward Leitão Memorial Scholarship Fund Committee

• copy of transcripts 

• copy of SAT or ACT scores, if applicable
